At long last, I am delighted to read bullying inside and outside of schools is going to be tackled by a task force which will review new ways to combat bullying (The Argus, May 5).
This move has been welcomed by Paul and Caroline Vodden whose 11-year-old son Ben killed himself following depression after a campaign of physical and verbal abuse.
This, however, is only one measure which may prevent bullying inside and outside schools.
The culprits have to be punished firmly in my view. There is never any excuse for bullying and it should not be tolerated.
All schools need to recognise bullying goes on.
All concerned within the school have a role to play in this issue.
