A murdered father and a whore for a mother. Oh we all know the student prince has issues a-plenty - and boy, can he procrastinate.
Max Day's abridgement remains faithful to the text and he doesn't, as may be the temptation with such a well known play, attempt anything too radical.
What your ten pounds gets you is a solid, well acted performance of a well known play.
The space may be intimate but the cast use a bare set and striking lighting to create some powerful, cinematic tableaux, while the star of the show is the wonderfully vampy Caroline Burns Cooke who, as Gertrude, oozes shameless sexuality.
A highly charged, visually striking production.
