Hurrah! At long last the local bus company has decided thankfully to re-route the No7 bus so it now goes directly up Queen's Road to Brighton Station and then onwards as before.
Everyone I know is delighted it now no longer makes that pointless detour going up Dyke Road, from the Clock Tower, round Buckingham Road, into Gloucester Road and so on to reach the station, as rarely did anyone board or alight on that part of the journey - plus those narrow congested roads delayed the bus considerably.
Now we desperately need the Brighton and Hove Bus Company (BHBC) to consider giving us just one bus from the Kemp Town area to take us directly to St Peter's Church, the London Road shops and Preston Circus.
Please, what we need is a bus to go along Eastern Road, down Edward Street (in a westerly direction), turning right into Marlborough Place and then onwards to London Road.
At present those of us living in this part of town must first get one bus to the Old Steine and then cross several busy roads to then board another outside the Royal Bank of Scotland. Quite a marathon.
BHBC has told me there is no demand but I find this hard to believe. I demand it and from a personal survey I have conducted, so do many others.
Please, please, Roger French, do give this some serious thought and fill this gap in services.
