Mid Sussex MP Nicholas Soames has said Labour are "finished" in the South after hearing Crawley has been won by the Conservatives.
Mr Soames said it followed another brilliant result in Horsham but reserved judgement on his party's national performance.
He said: "Crawley is a brilliant result and after Horsham really good news.
