The first election results from Lewes District Council are being revealed. Counts of yesterday's vote are being held at the leisure centres at Lewes and Seaford.
The Conservatives have so far won 10 seats while the Lib Dems have taken seven. The only gains have been in Seaford West where the Tories took both seats and Lewes Bridge in which the Lib Dems gained a seat from the independents.
Seagulls Party candidate Roz South polled 262 votes in the Lewes Bridge ward, but it was not enough to stop the Lib Dems retaining the seats.
