The Conservatives consolidated their control of Horsham, taking eight seats from the Liberal Democrats.
The party now has 31 of the 44 seats and a comfortable majority of 18 compared with a margin of just two going into the election.
The Lib Dems are left with 11 seats while two independents held on, one in Henfield and the other in Steyning.
