The Streets of Brighton is famed for the weird, the wacky and the downright bizarre acts that swarm the city's roads. This year organisers are concentrating on 20 top acts to ensure high-quality performances which keep the crowds entertained.
From Deep Sea Jivers, pictured below left, a must-see musical walkabout from the UK's only masked surf instrumental band, to the strange Cuddly Fluffkins, pictured below right, giant fluffy animals on the run from their Timmy Mallet manager lookalike, there is a huge range of performers.
Artistic director Dave Reeves says: "We are really excited about the programme for this year's Streets of Brighton and about the new developments.
"There are some fantastic shows which we are really looking forward to and hope the crowds will enjoy too."
Tantrum theatre brings The Pedestrian Prawns to life with their tasteful shrimp-tease, while French company Raz'Bithumes performs the UK premiere of Miss Bouleau Simone Raymonde no Longer Lives at this Address.
London's Ramshackilicious Theatre Company will also perform The Road to Nowhere. The company combines improvisation, dance, puppetry, song and physical theatre to tell the tale of Nana and her three grandsons as she attempts to find them their perfect wives.
