I write to inform readers of The Argus of the immense and grand success of Patcham High School's production of The Tempest, by William Shakespeare.
I'm sure anybody who went to see the production would agree that it was a hugely successful feat for such a "failing school", as it seems to now have been dubbed. I am a student at Patcham High, and I did in fact act in the production, and I find it disappointing how my school is portrayed as such a terrible school; yet at the same time find it immensely satisfying to know we can pull something as successful as this off.
I invite anybody to ask any of the members of the audience of the production whether they think Patcham High is such a failing school any more.
I wish to congratulate the team efforts of all the students involved (at least 30) and all the staff involved.
If only Ofsted had come to visit this week.
