A shop repeatedly targeted by yobs has been attacked again.
G&D Pet Shop in Hangleton Road, Hove, had its window smashed over the weekend.
Now shop owner Gary Sanders and ward councillor Dawn Barnett are calling for a new CCTV camera to be moved so it can record what happens in front of the shop.
Mr Sanders said when the camera was put up on a lamp-post in February, Brighton and Hove City Council promised it had the shop in its sights.
He said: "When it was spoken about originally they spoke about putting it on the roundabout island. It was put back on a lamp-post and they said it will go down here.
"Now something has happened, they say they didn't get it on CCTV because there is a tree in the way."
The window was broken at about 10.45pm on Friday night.
Mr Sanders said his windows have been smashed several times by what he believes is a gang of local kids.
Coun Barnett said: "I am going to ask the council to transfer the camera to the other side of the post so it can see further down the road. We have got to clamp down on this yobbish behaviour.
"It has improved a lot since the CCTV was put there. If the tree hadn't been in leaf, they would have picked up the people who did it."
Local residents had campaigned for a camera for years following incidents of ramraiding, theft and vandalism. In February, Coun Barnett presented the council with a 600-signature petition and 25 letters from traders.
Since then a dispersal zone has been set up which allows police to break up gangs.
Anyone with information about the incident should call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
