A man was attacked after he complained about the noise a group of teenagers playing football were making late at night.
The 68-year-old victim went to confront the group of five teenagers who were kicking a football around in the car park in Tower Street, Chichester, at 11.30pm on August 13.
The man was punched and pushed to the floor during the attack, sustaining cuts and bruises to his face and body.
Police say the confrontation and assault took place in the car park between the library and the Grange.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to email 101@sussex.ponn.police.uk call 101 quoting serial 1732 of August 13.
