A couple of police officers are captured on camera using a rather unconventional form of transport.
One of our readers, Paul Maycock, took the picture after spotting the police officers on Worthing seafront.
He said: "I was walking along the seafront when I noticed a couple of police officers struggling to move a mobility scooter. After a couple of aborted attempts at operating the controls while walking and jogging alongside, common sense prevailed and one of them decided it would be a lot easier to simply jump on and take a ride.
"I can only assume that the reason for police involvement would be to return the scooter to its rightful owner - or have Home Office cuts hit West Sussex hard this year? Perhaps it was a bit of undercover work to catch a gang of joyriding pensioners - who knows?"
