Your headline about crystal meth (The Argus, April 24) is the latest in a long line of stories about the effect of drugs that you have been reporting.
When I was last in Malaysia they executed a drug dealer. In Malaysia dealing in drugs means a mandatory death sentence - as you come into land flying on Air Malaysia the warning goes out over the aeroplane's intercom - it is quite stark.
The only thing we seem to do that is mandatory in this country is give knighthoods to the pop stars and stage stars who did so much to glamorise and popularise drugs in the Sixties and Seventies.
