A holidaymaker who sexually assaulted a drunken woman in a seaside town has been jailed.
Forklift driver Norman Appleton, 62, and his wife were on a camping holiday in Bexhill when the attack happened in September last year.
Appleton, who has a history of sexual offending, was walking alone at night when he saw the 48-year-old woman near the town centre.
He hauled her into bushes and sexually assaulted her.
At Lewes Crown Court Appleton, from Walpole St Peter, Cambridgeshire, admitted sexual assault and was sentenced to 18 months in jail.
Judge Charles Kemp told him his behaviour that night had been outrageous.
The court heard Appleton has a previous conviction for indecent assault and ten other convictions for indecent exposure.
Andrew Selby, defending, said Appleton's wife was standing by him. He said: "Clearly this is a man who needs help."
Appleton will have to sign on the sex offenders register for ten years.
