With the bowling season about to start this week I would like to express my dismay at the state of the Preston Park bowling greens.
There is one in particular which is an absolute disgrace, thanks to children and adults playing football on it in studs, leaving sliding tackle skids everywhere.
There are divets from people practicing golf on the lawn and burns from disposable barbecues - it is ruined.
The bowlers are not very happy, especially as they have to pay £65 for the summer to use it.
Where is Brighton and Hove City Council and why have they allowed this to happen? Other clubs run via the council are well maintained and fenced in, if they are vulnerable to damage.
The club that uses this particular green may be able to borrow another green but some members will leave and join another club.
