An independent school's owners are preparing to celebrate the first anniversary of the day they re-opened it after a financial crisis.
Newlands School in Seaford returned to action on May 2 last year after a fraught Easter which saw it go into administration and formally close.
There were just 68 of the 450 pupils left by the time wealthy parents Mike Holland and John Summers succeeded with a rescue package.
Newlands now has more than 150 students and staff are confident they will have at least 200 by September.
Mr Holland said: "Both John Summers and I wholeheartedly believed in the school and that is why we made the decision to invest in Newlands. We knew that there would need to be some changes but, after 12 months of restructuring, I am delighted to say that Newlands is doing better than ever."
