Heather Mills McCartney has been voted off hit TV show Dancing with the Stars The 39-year-old and her dance partner Jonathan Roberts made it to the sixth week of the knock-out competition, which is the US version of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
The former model said she was not surprised to be voted off and had a farewell speech hidden inside her costume.
She said the public response to her participation had been "overwhelming".
The judges ranked Miss Mills McCartney and Roberts fifth out of the seven remaining pairs on Tuesday's show on the ABC network.
But the public vote, which counts for half of the rankings, went against them.
On hearing the result, she said: "We knew we were going out. We were in the bottom two last week."
