Two men have created a film adaptation of William Shakespeare's Richard III with a difference.
Ex-Varndean College students Max Day and Jamie Martin have collaborated to reduce the play down to just 50 minutes.
They then filmed it in the Whitehawk area of Brighton.
Now the film is being shown at 6.45pm today in Brighton's Jubilee Library to coincide with Shakespeare's birthday.
It is billed as featuring 'gangsters and violence at a thrilling pace'.
Max, who was winner of an award for Best Director at the Portobello Film Festival and actor in the forthcoming Hamlet to be shown at the Brighton Fringe Festival in May, wrote the script and his old Varndean College friend, professional actor and playwright, Jamie Martin, plays Richard in the film.
Also playing a notable role is Varndean College Head of English and Shakespeare-buff, Sean McEvoy, who will give a lecture about the play before the screening.
As well as teaching at Varndean, Sean is a visiting lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London.
