The creators of top selling fantasy novels have visited a school to talk about their books.
Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell, who are both from Brighton and who write and illustrate The Edge Chronicles, spoke to pupils at Tavistock and Summerhill in Haywards Heath on Monday to tell them about how they created the stories and characters.
The books contain characters such as foul-mouthed halitoads, red faced slaughterers, galumphing banderbears and piranha-tribble-wig-wigs.
Ian Souter, head of English at the school, said: "The children love the chronicles so it's a real treat for them to meet Paul and Chris. The tales are so fantastic and so full of amazing characters."
