I have always considered the Brighton Festival Fringe to be wholesome family entertainment, so imagine my disgust on discovering an event this year entitled the Poetry Brothel.

Not only this but the event is being held at the so-called Hanover Massage Parlour, which, aside from suggesting a brutal approach to sex and setting the course of feminism back 20 years, is also a private establishment dangerously close to local schools.

Please tell me, even in these permissive times, we are not going to stand for it.

If this is what passes for entertainment these days, you can keep it.
