Vicki Davies makes precisely the right point regarding Brighton and Hove City Council and affordable housing (Letters, April 17).
Let's applaud the desire for affordable housing but where are the plans guaranteeing such an outcome?
Having just looked at The Argus for both jobs and properties, the gap between prices and salaries must be one of the greatest in the UK .
How is this gap to be bridged? By whom? The developers? Brighton and Hove City Council?
I understand many councillors' legitimate aims to want to build and offer affordable housing but where is the detail that reassures us all?
