Almost £2,000 has been donated to the The Argus Appeal by panto audiences at the Theatre Royal Brighton.
Actress Susan Hampshire, who is currently appearing at the theatre in The Bargain, handed the pot of cash over to Martyn Willis, managing director of The Argus.
Kind-hearted audiences watching panto at the theatre at Christmas managed to raise £1,939.26.
The Argus Appeal is in its 50th year. It is the charity of The Argus and aims to relieve sickness, poverty and hardship.
