Members of the Thursday Lunch Club are disappointed that they can no longer enjoy their weekly group meeting
I was disappointed when I heard the pensioners' Thursday Lunch Club and meetings at Valley Social Centre in Whitehawk, Brighton, had to close (The Argus, April 13).
I used to be a helper on Thursdays and enjoyed seeing the happy faces light up when I served their lovely meals.
After the meal we all had a game of Bingo. It brightened up their day and mine too.
It's a pity that one or other of the younger groups who meet at the same time couldn't move to another day and let the pensioners enjoy their lunch.
