I write in response to Councillor Brian Oxley (Letters, April 14) regarding tuk-tuks extending their service in Brighton and Hove.
I note the Conservative Party's attitude in this city to free enterprise seems to have made a real about-turn.
Surely we should be celebrating the fact that this entrepreneur has chosen to launch his innovative business in Brighton and Hove?
What business person would intentionally launch a public service business with unsafe vehicles, a fact that seems to exercise Mr Oxley in his opposition?
However, is Coun Oxley really concerned about safety or is it that he is actually supporting a fellow councillor and joint signatory to his letter, who is himself a taxi driver in the city?
