Full credit to Labour for sending voters like me its manifesto for the local elections. But watch out The Argus.
If enough Labour councillors are elected to run Brighton and Hove City Council, they are promising to deliver their own regular council newsletter across Brighton and Hove.
We don't need a propaganda sheet funded from our taxes. What a waste of our money.
Anyway, I can find out what the council is up to already by reading The Argus and The Leader, tuning into our local radio stations, watching the TV news or surfing the internet.
If only the council put a bit more time and effort into getting its message across through the ample local media outlets, it wouldn't feel the need for a municipal newsletter.
I suspect Labour just wants more one-sided, Orwellian spin.
Small traders should beware too.
Labour wants to create more business improvement districts (BIDs), which mean traders forking out large sums for services that should be covered by their business rates.
It's one thing to accuse the Greens of putting jobs on the line - and the Labour manifesto does this - but hypocrisy to campaign for BIDs that could well cost people their business.
