Gary Turner: born in Brighton 17th Aug 1943, passed away in Royal Sussex Hospital 4th July 2015 : R.I.P.
He work as a lecturer at Brighton Poly and Reigate School of Art. In 1967 he started an arts centre with others in one of the seafront arches, Gallery 185, and later in 1970’s as part of the Brighton Open Studios. His work with the Fiveways Artists continued from 1981 till very recently.
As a musician, in the 1970’s , his band The Dodgems had a hit with “Lord Lucan Is Missing” and he later played bass guitar with The Piranhas new line up.
