A PEDESTRIAN suffered a "serious facial injury" in a crash with a cyclist during the London to Brighton bike ride.
The 55-year-old from Brighton was leaning down near Richmond Terrace when the incident happened just before midday on Sunday, Sussex Police said.
A Sussex Police spokesman said the cyclist, a 47-year-old man from Bromley, Kent, also suffered an injury to his face.
More than 20,000 cyclists rode to the city on Sunday from London, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, led the way in her role as an ambassador for the charity.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 629 of June 21.
