More than 70 different tourist attractions have signed up to a weekend of discounted rates.
Museums, stately homes, nature reserves and cinemas are among the destinations taking part in Your Big Sussex Weekend.
Organisers said the aim of the annual event, running on Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29, was to encourage people to explore "the wonders on their doorstep".
Project manager Jackie Ellis said: "We want local people to get out and about to show their support for Your Big Sussex Weekend.
"Go and discover the rich heritage, colour and entertainment the county has to offer while taking advantage of these fabulously reduced rates."
Borde Hill Gardens in Haywards Heath, Horsham Museum and Cineworld Crawley are some of the attractions taking part.
Tourist spending in the region is valued at £987 million every year. For details visit www.bigsussex.co.uk.
