Cities and towns in Sussex have four weeks to enter a competition to find the most enterprising place in Britain.
The regional rounds of Enterprising Britain 2007 are under way and the deadline for South East entries is May 11.
The competition, launched in January by the South East England Development Agency (Seeda), seeks to identify the region's enterprising hot spot - a place that has created jobs, brought communities together and made a difference to businesses and people over the past three years.
The winner will go through to the national finals. The British winner will be decided following visits by judges over the summer.
That area will represent Britain at the European Enterprise Awards.
Jeff Alexander, from Seeda, said: "The South East is fortunate to be home to some of the most inspiring entrepreneurs and enterprises in the country.
"Enterprising Britain 2007 is an opportunity to be recognised for this and to show why the region is rightly viewed as an entrepreneurial hub."
Entries are invited from cities, towns and communities as well as public-private partnerships, educational programmes and businesses.
