The sudden demise of French radio station FIP (The Argus, April 9) will certainly be missed by thousands of listeners in Brighton, many of whom must have wondered how it was possible to receive it in our area.
Now we know an enterprising radio engineer "borrowed" a couple of FM wavelengths to serve us with an eclectic form of entertainment.
Let's hope the Office of Communications (Ofcom) will go easy on the man and allow for the return of FIP in the future.
Perhaps the newly opened Radio Reverb, whose remit is to provide alternative local programming, might incorporate some of the music mix heard on FIP which would, no doubt, bring them an instant audience.
