Regarding letters referring to The King Alfred development (March 27): Every time I look at the plans I am reminded of a conversation I had with Sir Laurence Olivier in the Seventies.

I mentioned to him I came from Brighton and asked if he still lived there. He replied that he did not because it had become a concrete jungle.

I wonder what Larry would have thought today and how many letters he would have written to The Argus?
