I am appalled that members of the Kemp Town Bowls Club are no longer able to play because yobs have ruined the greens and harrassed players (Letters, March 26).
The Government is trying to encourage people to take more exercise and bowls is particularly enjoyed by elderly citizens.
Facilities for suitable exercise for this group are sadly lacking.
Walking on the promenade is no pleasure on summer evenings and weekends. It is too busy.
Twice I have been knocked into from behind by small children on little bikes. The parents didn't even apologise.
At times there have been evening classes held in Brighton I would have liked to attend, but no way would I want to wait for a bus in the town centre on my own at around 9 o'clock.
It is all wrong that the quality of life for ordinary, law-abiding, tax-paying citizens is allowed to be spoiled by these yobs.
When is action going to be taken?
