After your recent article on the region's noisiest locations (The Argus, March 5), I had expected to read some comments on your Letters page.
Personally, I am appalled at the levels of noise pollution we seem content to tolerate in our daily lives.
A shopping trip into Brighton has become an unpleasant experience, as almost every retail outlet is playing loud or jarring music.
In one store, I asked the assistant to turn down the volume as it was making shopping an uncomfortable experience. I wanted to get out as fast as possible.
Once, browsing round shops was a pleasure - now it's an endurance and there are certain stores that I avoid altogether.
Retailers, take note. I'm sure I'm not alone in this view.
