I have lived at my address for 20 years now and chose to do so because of its closeness to all amenities and the sea.
The sound of seagulls comes with the surroundings and reminds me of summer and why I love to be so close to the seafront.
I'm probably the same distance from the sea as your correspondent David Wilson, who lives in Palmeira Avenue, Hove (Letters, March 28).
Mr Wilson, if you don't like the local wildlife then why do you live where you do? No doubt if you moved to the countryside you'd have a problem with cockerels crowing or cows mooing in the surrounding areas.
I am a big fan of seagulls, including the blue and white variety.
Actually Mr Wilson, I'm sure if you moved to Lewes, all you seagull dislikers would be happy moaning together about the various seagulls you don't approve of.
