Can anybody please explain to me why the traffic lights in Rottingdean cannot be switched to off during rush hours?
Could a circle not be painted in the middle of the junction and a "drive friendly - give way to right" sign put up?
I am sure this would keep the traffic moving as opposed to three to four hours of gridlock every day.
Nothing has ever even been attempted. The lights were switched off on the A22/A27 at Polegate and traffic now runs smoothly, although I appreciate it is a bigger area.
Whatever happened to the different schemes which were proposed all those years ago and were shown to the public in exhibitions in Rottingdean?
