More than 60 guests and staff at three hotels in Eastbourne were struck down by an airborne stomach bug, health chiefs have said.
Those affected were linked to the Royal Parade Hotel, the Hilton and the Langham Hotel but no-one needed hospital treatment.
A statement from East Sussex Downs and Weald Primary Care Trust and Eastbourne Borough Council said the bug was not food-related and most people had since recovered.
It said: "The hotels' management is working closely with Eastbourne Borough Council's environmental health division, East Sussex Downs and Weald Primary Care Trust and the Health Protection Agency to carry out infection control and hygiene measures.
"The Health Protection Agency is aware of other cases of viral gastro-enteritis currently in the county."
