The Election 2015 campaign only officially began last week but already I’m sick of the what ifs...
Every word spoken by a party leader is immediately pounced upon and analysed to the nth degree in order to predict the outcome. These predictions change every day and will, I predict, continue right up until the moment the outcome is declared.
Election hysteria, especially when it begins months ahead, is tiring and tedious, and guaranteed to put off many voters, as if Russell Brand wasn’t enough with his declaration never to vote.
The tit-for-tat accusations and counter-accusations about policy meander on endlessly, so that in the end the public loses sight of a party’s original manifesto – it’s like when you Google something but end up clicking on more and more links so in the end you’ve forgotten what you were looking for in the first place.
So I’m planning on reading every party’s manifesto for this election before I vote next month. That’ll be fun...
