There's something about Brighton." That's what the Racing Post's David Ashforth wrote last year after putting Brighton Racecourse in the top ten of his list of the country's racecourses.
Set high on the Sussex Downs, with stunning views over Brighton and Hove and the English Channel, the seaside track has, in the words of Channel 4's website, "undoubtedly one of the most picturesque settings of any course".
It has 23 acres of land and 18 suites (all with external views) equipped with the necessary facilities to match any event requirement. Because of this, it has become one of the South's leading conference centres and last year welcomed more than 250,000 visitors for a range of private and public events, from small business meetings to weekend exhibitions.
Raceday Hospitality The racecourse is a popular location for racing hospitality not just because of the location but also because it is one of the most intimate racecourses in the country - the horses and riders finish races little more than touching distance away from the crowd and the main hospitality suites.
Last year, the racecourse entertained a record number of hospitality customers as bookings jumped by more than 40 per cent.
In 2007, the racecourse will be hosting 18 race meetings between April and October.

"We have entertained clients for a day at Brighton racecourse for the last four years. Our guests have always had a great, fun day out with great food and drink and accommodating, friendly staff making us feel very welcome.
I would thoroughly recommend a day at Brighton Racecourse."

Suites Suites are available for 12 to 600 people (smaller bookings can be taken in the excellent Silks restaurant). Smaller bookings in private suites can sometimes be accommodated - call the Racecourse for more details. Non-Raceday Events Ongoing investments have helped Brighton Racecourse and Conference Centre to become regarded as one of the leading venues in the region for exhibitions, conferences, meetings, parties and training events.
The latest round of improvements includes the provision of Wi-Fi access and plasma televisions in the main hospitality suites.
The racecourse has two halls which, taken together, provide more than 1,500sqm of flexible floor space.
The remaining syndicate suites are in close proximity to the main halls, to facilitate breakout sessions.
A luxury marquee is available for selected dates in June, July and August.
It is, of course, possible to make use of the racecourse's 23 acres of outdoor space.
Another advantage of the venue is that it offers free parking for up to 1,500 cars.
The racecourse's aim is to provide a service which is simple to book and easy to enjoy.
