I don’t really have a reason for writing about Aidan Turner as Poldark except as an excuse for The Argus to print this picture.
After all, every other newspaper has found an excuse to print this picture, and many others of Aidan, over and over again, and it is deeply unfair to deny our readers the same chance.
I can say, quite smugly, that I knew he would be a star ever since I saw him as Dante Gabriel Rossetti in the 2009 BBC2 series Desperate Romantics and more recently in The Hobbit movie franchise, in which only he could make a dwarf so dashing.
So I felt I should provide this life-enhancing picture service to both our male and female readers (yes, he is inspiring man crushes too) to keep you all going until next Sunday’s episode of Poldark. The only worry is how on Earth we will all survive without him when the series ends.
