Pietro Serosi, 40, of Church Road, Hove, pleaded guilty to stealing a purse containing £180 in Black Lion Street, Brighton on December 2, 2014 and stealing an iPhone 5 in Old Steine, Brighton, on December 18, 2014. He was ordered to pay £620 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, £85 in costs and was also handed a community order to take part in a drug rehabilitation course for at least six months.
Christopher Gary Saunders, 45, Rothbury Road, Hove, pleaded guilty to speeding over 30 mph on the A270 Old Shoreham Road in Hove on April 20, 2014. He was ordered to pay a £215 fine, £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He also received three points on his licence.
Sakhile Valentine Simbani, 33, of Amberley Drive, Hove, pleaded guilty to speeding over 30 mph on the A270 Old Shoreham Road in Hove on April 15, 2014. She was ordered to pay a £50 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and also received three points.
James Simon Arnell, aged 45, of Brunswick Square, Hove, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 70mph zone. Fined £1,335 plus £120 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.
Matthew Richard Greenaway, aged 30, of Stapeley Road, Hove, was found guilty of assault by beating. Ordered to do 120 hours’ unpaid work and attend supervision appointments as required.
Brian Kazik Kis, aged 58, of Harmsworth Crescent, Hove, was found guilty of harassment. Jailed for six weeks suspended for 12 months. Given a restraining order and a 12-month supervision order. Ordered to pay £150 compensation, £80 victim surcharge and £150 costs.
Joanna Forsdyke, aged 22, of Westbourne Villas, Hove, pleaded guilty to assault. Given a 12- month conditional discharge. Ordered to pay £100 compensation and £15 victim surcharge.
Damien Ashley Hobden, aged 26, of Valley Road, Portslade, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30pmh zone. Fined £265 plus a £26 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with four points.
John Anthony Evans, 33, of Drove Crescent, Portslade, pleaded guilty to entering a building as a trespasser in Westbourne Place on September 8, 2014 and stealing £1,400 of jewellery from a bedroom. He was handed a 16 week prison sentence suspended for a year and ordered to take part in 180 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £1,100 in compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
Cordel Leitch, 27, of George Williams Mews, Portslade, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on August 11, 2014 and criminal damage between August 8 and August 11. He was handed a 12 month supervision order, given 160 hours of unpaid work within the next year and ordered to pay £350 costs, £200 compensation and £60 victim surcharge. He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, driving a VW Golf without insurance or a licence and resisting a police officer in the execution of her duty. All took place on December 13, 2014 in Stirling Close, Seaford. He was fined £130 and banned from holding a driving licence for a year.
Kasey Knowles, aged 21, of Flint Close, Portslade, pleaded guilty to stealing a Ralph Lauren top, worth £27, from TK Maxx. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Jason Lee Peirce, aged 44, of Thornhill Rise, Mile Oak, Portslade, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph zone. Fined £245 plus a £25 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
Kelly Marie Hamilton, aged 33, of George William Mews, Portslade, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. Ordered to have six months’ alcohol dependency treatment, do 40 hours’ unpaid work and pay £100 compensation.
