Michael Daniel Beirne, aged 32, of Ceylon Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance in a Toyota Aygo on Seaford Road, Eastbourne, on January 15, 2015. He also pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a community order. He was jailed for 22 weeks and banned from driving for four years.
Richard Gascoine, aged 50, of Churchdale Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to speeding above 30 mph in his Ford car in Halland on the A22. He was ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 in costs and a £165 fine. He also received three points on his driving licence.
Sam Joseph Povall, aged 29, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to entering a hotel room in the Burlington Hotel, Grand Parade, Eastbourne, on January 12, 2015, and stealing items including a Remington alarm clock, medical items, torch, bottle of perfume and items of clothing. He also pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol and chocolates from the staff office. He was jailed for 20 weeks and ordered to pay £80 victim surcharge.
Claire Marie Martin, aged 31, of Millbrook Gardens, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph zone. Fined £40 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Carl Anthony Myles, aged 29, of St John’s Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing bedding and foodstuffs from Asda in Marina Village, Brighton, worth £43.25. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Andrew Rockingham, aged 42, of Briar Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Jailed for six weeks suspended for 12 months. Ordered to have alcohol dependency treatment for six months and be supervised for 12 months. Ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Sergejs Tencs, aged 31, of Colonnade Gardens, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis. Ordered to be under curfew for 30 days, pay a £60 victim surcharge and £40 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
Clarence Jarquin, aged 36, of Terminus Road, Eastbourne, was found guilty of religiously aggravated assault by beating. Fined £170 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £200 costs.
Vanessa Sofia Terroto Monteiro Lopes, aged 36, of Linden Close, Eastbourne, was convicted in absence of speeding in a 40mph zone. Fined £200 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.
Kim Teresa Morgan, aged 56, of Ventnor Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph zone. Fined £70 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.
