Michael Parsons, 55, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Marine Parade in Brighton on January 14. Fined £100 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Anthony Stephen Pellett, aged 51, of Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to assaulting a constable doing his duty. Fined £73 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
John Peter Barnett, aged 25, of Gloucester Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing food, worth £108.72, from the Co-op in Hove; Jack Willis bags and box set, worth £285, from Boots; two portable televisions, worth £199.98, from Maplins. Jailed for nine weeks suspended for 12 months. Ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
Paul Anthony Richard Stapleton, aged 52, of Carlyle Avenue, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 32 months, reduced by 32 weeks if completes an approved driving course.
Babithasan Subramanium, aged 25, of May Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to harassment causing fear of violence. Given a supervision requirement and a restraining order, ordered to do 60 hours’ unpaid work. Ordered to pay £150 compensation, £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Benjamin Green, aged 26, of Washington Street, Brighton, pleaded guilty to damaging bed sheets worth £37.98. Ordered to carry out 60 hours’ unpaid work, pay £37.98 compensation, £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Micky Maynard, aged 21, of North Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing cash worth £100 from an individual and failing to answer bail. Ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £50 fine.
Matthew Warne, aged 44, of Carlyle Street, Brighton, pleaded guilty to common assault and racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress. Fined £200 plus £85 costs.
Liam Frank Sidney Burbidge, aged 19, of Cowfold Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm. Jailed for 20 weeks suspended for 18 months. Ordered to be supervised for 18 months and do 200 hours’ unpaid work. Ordered to pay £150 compensation, £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
