Zak Ahmed Khan, aged 36, of New England Street, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink-driving and possessing cocaine. Was given a community order to take part in 10 drug intervention sessions, and have 12 sessions of alcohol dependency treatment. Ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 23 months, reduced by 23 weeks if he completes an approved driving course.
Sokol Gjomokaj, aged 45, of Brentwood Road, Brighton, was found guilty of fraud by false representation in that a person took a driving theory test on his behalf, so that he could gain a theory test pass. Ordered to carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work, pay a £60 victim surcharge and £200 costs.
John McLeod, aged 61, of no fixed address, was convicted of outraging public decency in Queen’s Road, Brighton. He admitted committing the offence while on a conditional discharge also for outraging public decency; pleaded guilty to failing to answer bail; admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order given for a theft offence. Jailed for two weeks.
Thanushiyam Shiyamaleswaran, aged 21, of Dartmouth Crescent, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink driving. Fined £110 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks if completes an approved driving course.
John Gillam, aged 66, of Stonehurst Court, Down Terrace, Brighton. pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent. Fined £100 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £50 costs.
George Ernest King, aged 55, of Stonehurst Court, Down Terrace, Brighton, pleaded guilty to obstructing a PC doing his duty. Fined £75 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £50 costs.
Samual Anthony Rees, aged 26, of High Street, Rottingdean, admitting failing without reasonable excuse to report for unpaid work on November 16 and community reintegration on November 26. Forty hours added to original requirement of 180 hours’ unpaid work. Ordered to pay £70 costs.
Sam Woodhouse, aged 35, of Findon Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Fined £75 plus £20 victim surcharge.
Robert Martin Keating, aged 35, of Warwick Mount, Brighton, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating; obstructing or resisting a constable doing his duty; failing to comply with a order to leave an area; three counts of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour; refusing to provide a sample for a drugs test; stealing a bottle of Gallo white wine, worth £5; and assaulting a constable doing his duty. Jailed for 26 weeks.
James Long, aged 35, of Bramble Way, Stanmer Heights, Brighton, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. Fined £600 plus £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
