Simon Russel, 44 of Viaduct Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and having an offensive weapon, namely a Stanley knife and Stinger keychain self defence tool. Fined £37 plus a victim surcharge of £60. Ordered to take part in 10 community reintegration sessions.
Jack Stephen Wenham, 24, of Norwich Drive, Brighton, pleaded guilty to two counts of having a weapon designed to emit electricity. Jailed for six months suspended for 24 months. Ordered to pay victim surcharge of £80 and £85 costs.
Glenn Paul Cabell, 52, of Highview Avenue North, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Ordered to do four intervention sessions, 80 hours’ unpaid work, pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 42 months, to be reduced by 42 weeks if completes an approved driving course.
Nigel Maynard, 41, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing a silver Mercedez car in Brighton on June 15. He will be sentenced by Lewes Crown Court on December 19.
William Murphy, 22, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to damaging glass panes to the value of £700 on November 17, belonging to Brighton and Hove Council. He was fined £110 and told to pay a victim surcharge of £20 along with £85 court costs. However, he did not have to pay compensation because of “limited means” and currently outstanding fines.
Leilah Clarke, 21, of Rose Hill Terrace, Brighton, pleaded guilty to possessing the class-A drug MDMA on August 3. She was fined £110, told to pay a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
Reece Heath, 22, of Bodiam Close, Brighton, pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty and possessing the class-A drug cocaine on September 20. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, forfeited the cocaine and was ordered to pay a £300 fine, £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Vlady Mwe-Di-Malila, 20, of East Slope, University of Sussex, Falmer, was found in possession of a controlled class-A drug MDMA on March 14. He was also charged with failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on November 12. He pleaded guilty to both and was fined £110, £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
Wayne Graney, 38, of Compton Avenue, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink driving after registering 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, driving without insurance and without a licence on September 19. He was fined £815 including costs, given penalty points and disqualified from driving for 22 months.
Alexander Smith, 42, of New Steine Mews, Brighton, admitted failing to comply with a community order to report for induction sessions on October 14 and 22. By October 7, 2015, he must present himself to a CRI Drug Intervention Programme for three days.
Daniel Ronan, 21, of Fitzherbert Drive, Brighton, pleaded guilty to two counts of dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods on November 15. In the first case this was a driving licence of unknown value; in the second case it was a black Fujifilm E900 digital camera, to the value of £139. In charges, Mr Ronan has to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85 for the first count, and £20 a month to make up a balance of £145 for the second count. In both cases he has to also comply with a four-week curfew running between the hours of 7pm and 7am daily.
