Tina Shane Baker, 53, of Playden Close, Brighton, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. Fined £133 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £45 costs.
John Peter Barnett, 25, of Gloucester Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing meat worth £135.67 from Co-op. Ordered to take part in ten drug intervention sessions, pay a £60 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
Dean Clements, 30, of Compton Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink-driving, Ordered to do 90 hours’ unpaid work, pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks if he completes an approved driving course.
Jason Michael Cottington, 43, of Goodwood Way, Brighton, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, driving without an MOT certificate. Offence committed while on a suspended sentence for driving while disqualified. Suspended sentence of 18 weeks activated, also given a further 18 weeks’ jail. Banned from driving for 18 months.
Gavin David Dawes, 31, of Playden Close, Brighton, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis, Fined £73 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £45 costs. Giuliano Hassani, 34, of St Stephens Hall, Montpelier Place, Brighton, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. Fined £167 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Andrew Gareth Jones, 41, of North Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing five pieces of salmon, worth £25, from Sainsbury’s. Fined £73 plus £25 compensation, £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Matthew Kevin Maskell, 26, of Whippingham Street, Brighton, pleaded guilty to drink-driving, Fined £350 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months, to be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes an approved driving course.
Jordan-Lee Osborne, 19, of Hallett Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Kim Kathy Phelps, 40, of Widdicombe Way, Brighton, was found guilty in her absence of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver alleged to have committed an offence. Fined £600 plus £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
Nathaniel Robert Dunkley, 26, of Stanford Avenue, Brighton, pleaded guilty to common assault, and assault by beating. Given a community order, fined £50, ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
Wayne Roger Brayford, 30, of St George’s Place, Brighton, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order, by failing to report for unpaid work twice. Fined £150 plus £70 costs.
William Christopher Murphy, 22, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to damaging a laminated, plate-glass window belonging to Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Fined £50 plus £50 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.
