Andrew David Swallow, 37, of Clifton Street, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing Chanel perfume, worth £72, from Boots, committing an offence while under a community order and breaching a community order by failing to turn up for crime reduction sessions as required. Jailed for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months. Ordered to have drug dependency treatment for nine months and pay £72 compensation.
Donal Joseph Burke, 46, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of two counts of assaulting a constable doing his duty, in New Steine, Brighton, and one count of being drunk and disorderly. Admitted committing the offences during a suspended sentence. Given a community order and 12-week curfew. Ordered to pay £60 victim surcharge and £200 costs.
