Gaetona Macaro, 56, of Eastcourt Road, Broadwater, Worthing, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis, driving while unfit through drugs and stealing a food blender worth £399 from Sainsburys. Admitted committing the offences while under a suspended sentence for shoplifting. Jailed for six weeks. Ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
Molly Wilbrey, 21, of Chippers Road, West Tarring, Worthing, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid MOT certificate. Fined £73 plus a £20 victim surcharge.
Vincent John Frederick Fisher, 43, of Cambourne Court, Shelley Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to entering garden sheds with intent to steal. Admitted committing the offence while on a 12-month conditional discharge for theft of a pedal cycle. Jailed for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. Ordered to do 100 hours’ unpaid work, pay an £80 victim surcharge and £120 costs.
Ryan Greer, 26, of Broadwater Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Fined £37 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Kim Stewart McGowan, 64, of Ferring Marine, Ferring, Worthing, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Fined £300 plus £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months, reduced by 12 weeks if an approved driving course is completed.
Ben Anthony Hawkins, 22, of Ainsdale Close, Durrington, Worthing, pleaded guilty to possessing Class B drug herbal cannabis. Fined £200, plus £20 victim surcharge and £80 costs.
Peter James Baker, 41, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth 40 from Marks and Spencer in Worthing. Fined £50 plus a £20 victim surcharge.
Luke Wakeford, 21, of no fixed address, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Worthing magistrates’ court, in that he failed to turn up for unpaid work on two occasions. Ten hours added to the 40 hours’ unpaid work he was meant to do. Also ordered to pay £70 costs.
Tom Harry Deville, 24, of Collingwood Road, Goring, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and possessing a “small quantity” of cocaine. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £35 costs.
Matthew Johnson, 23, of Hillside Avenue, Worthing, pleaded guilty to dishonestly making off without payment for £50.02 worth of fuel at BP in Kingsway, Hove, driving while disqualified, and driving without a licence. Jailed for 26 weeks concurrent to an ongoing crown court sentence. Ordered to pay £50 compensation and £35 costs.
