David Terrance Connell, 33, of Linley Drive, Hastings, pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing a total of five pairs of jeans worth a total of £290 from Marks and Spencer in Hastings and possessing heroin while on a conditional discharge for a similar offence. He was ordered to complete a drug rehabilitation programme and to pay compensation of £150.
Philip Anthony Butcher, 57, of The Kestrels, St Leonards, was convicted in his absence of speeding in a Fiat on King Offa Way, Bexhill, a 40mph zone, on December 11, 2013. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.
Shaun Peter Collins, 52, of Pinders Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to stealing two Galaxy chocolate bars, worth £2, from Poundland; and failing to answer bail. Also admitted failing to turn up for unpaid work. Fined £70 and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.
Dawn Anderson, 44, of Cambridge Gardens, East Sussex, pleaded guilty to stealing various items, worth £13.35. from Esk Store in Hastings. Given a 12-month conditional discharge. Ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
Carl A Ross, 56, of Undercliffe, St Leonards, was convicted in his absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver of a Vauxhall alleged to have committed an offence in Shoreham on March 28 this year. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for nine months.
Brian Rowe, 55, of South Terrace, Hastings, pleaded guilty to failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have committed an offence in Shoreham on March 27 this year. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
Christopher John Clark, 38, of Vinehall Road, Mountfield, Robertsbridge, pleaded guilty of stalking a woman from August 31 to October 5. He was ordered to complete a domestic abuse programme for 30 days and a restraining order was made prohibiting him from contacting the victim or going within 50 yards of an address in Robertsbridge and entering land at another address in Robertsbridge. He was fined £350, ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £60.
