A Romanian gang emptied Brighton cash machines as part of a £1.6 million hacking heist.
The gang targeted 50 cash machines in Brighton, Blackpool, Doncaster, Liverpool, London, Portsmouth and Sheffield during May Bank Holiday this year.
Members of the gang inserted a disc containing a malware programme into the cash machines and then when they were refilled, other members typed in a code to clear out all the cash.
A joint investigation by the national Crime Agency and City of London Police has now led to the arrests of a 37-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman on fraud and money laundering charges.
