Jade Lee, 28, of Salisbury Road, Hove, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Given an absolute discharge. Magistrates said she was of good character and the prosecution accepted there was provocation by the victim.
Daniel King, 51, of Clarendon Villas, Hove, pleaded guilty to benefit fraud: producing a document showing Brighton and Hove City Council that he had less than £16,000 in savings, when in fact he had more. Ordered to carry out 300 hours’ unpaid work, pay a £60 victim surcharge and £2,500 costs.
Foysal Chowdbury, 21, of Amberley Drive, Hove, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. Fined £170 plus £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with five points.
