ARCHIE beat Gully in a mascot race.
Brighton Racecourse hosted a family fun day yesterday with a fairground, face painting, zorbing, and their traditional mascot race.
Seven horse races were held and the mascot race saw the racecourse’s horse-headed mascot Archie go up against costumed characters such as the Brighton and Hove Albion’s Gully and Frost Cars’ Freddie Frost in a straight sprint for the finish.
Hundreds of parents and children took advantage of the free activities.
The day, sponsored by Gatwick Airport, also saw money raised for charities like Cancer Research UK.
